Although Mermaid's Purse uses all natural ingredients, there may be individuals who have allergies or sensitivities. With the exception of Lavender and Tea Tree, Essential Oils need to be diluted into a carrier oil before application to the skin. A good rule of thumb is to never exceed 30 drops of Essential Oil per 1oz of Carrier Oil. Many Essential Oils are quite affective with just a few drops, so use sparingly and cautiously! To ensure safety, always test a small patch of skin first. Discontinue use if you experience redness, irritation or other adverse reactions. While essential oils and herbs have many great benefits, some natural ingredients should not be used in the presence of certain diseases or conditions.
